As a part of the Indiana Department of Correction, the Pendleton Correctional Facility promotes public safety by providing meaningful, effective opportunities for successful re-entry. The Pendleton Correctional Facility is a maximum security Correctional facility, of adult males. The Pendleton Correctional Facility is located in Pendleton, Indiana. At Pendleton Correctional Facility, incarcerated individuals can participate in educational courses that teach them to read and allow them to earn a GED. Incarcerated individuals can receive substance abuse treatment, participate in parenting classes, stress and anger management courses, and can even learn vocational skills in auto body repair and printing.
Role Overview :
As a Correctional Lieutenant you will be responsible for demonstrating a cooperative, efficient working relationship with all staff and offenders. You will interact primarily with offenders, co-workers and supervisors. Occasionally, in this position you may come into contact with the general public. You must communicate well and portray a positive, professional image in all contacts with others, including offenders, staff, the public, vendors and staff representing regulatory agencies. You will be involved in problem solving and communicating with offenders, staff, the public, vendors and staff representing regulatory agencies on an as needed basis.
Salary Statement :
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $53,222.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.
