Under the direction of the Director of Grants, this position requires an experienced grant writer responsible for writing grant applications, pre-award coordination of all grant applications for the BGC, post-award budget development, and support for program staff in charge of grant-funded projects. The Grant Manager serves as a liaison with community members and grantors.
Please note: This is not an entry-level position. Applicants should have a minimum of one year of experience writing and managing grants, preferably for a youth-serving non-profit.
Job Responsibilities:
Write grant applications and provide related documents to submit to grant funding agencies.
Research, identify, and secure grant funding to meet the organization's needs.
Be the lead manager of all grant processes (training, supervision, evaluations, documentation, etc.) to ensure compliance with the funder guidelines.
Train staff on all aspects of grants, including content, requirements, measurement, and reports.
Develop forms, processes, procedures, and measurement tools for the implementation of grants.
Monitor proposals and funding application requirements, ensuring all deadlines are met
Lead and participate in meetings and workshops to convey and/or gather information required to perform essential grant functions.
Conduct site visits to help with grant management and implementation, providing written feedback on strengths and areas of need.
Build relationships and provide stewardship to current funders.

Assist in updating and maintaining grantor information in the donor database, recognizing contributions with acknowledgment letters, and fulfilling requirements as per the grant, i.e., social media, newsletter, photos, etc.
Assist with planning and implementing fundraisers and special events as needed.
Arrange, host, tour, meet, and prepare presentations for grant contacts.

Skills/Knowledge Required:
Bachelor’s degree required
Proven track record of successful grant proposals
Experience working in deadline-driven environments
Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially in public speaking; ability to write clear, structured, articulate, compelling, and persuasive proposals

Salary Wage: $75,000 – $90,000 DOE
