Job Description



We are seeking an experienced Grant Writer to support our mission of assisting hospitals in securing funding for workforce development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grant writing, coupled with a solid understanding of how to utilize AI tools and machine learning algorithms to optimize proposal development and funding strategies. A key aspect of this role will involve incorporating compelling storytelling techniques to effectively convey the significance and impact of our projects. This role will focus on identifying funding opportunities that help hospitals invest in educational infrastructure and support nursing students.

Grant Research and Identification

  • Research and identify grant opportunities from government, nonprofit, and private sector funding sources to support healthcare workforce development, including equipment for nursing schools and tuition coverage for students.
  • Stay informed on funding trends and opportunities, particularly those related to healthcare education and workforce development.

Proposal Development and Writing

  • Develop, write, and edit high-quality, compelling grant proposals that align with both hospital needs and funder priorities.
  • Craft narratives that highlight the need for funding, including the importance of investing in nursing education to address healthcare workforce shortages.
  • Showcase real-life examples and success stories that demonstrate the impact of funding on student success and hospital staffing improvements.

Collaboration and Data Gathering

  • Collaborate with hospital administrators, nursing program directors, and cross-functional teams to gather necessary data, narratives, and supporting materials for grant applications.
  • Ensure that all grant proposals present a cohesive and compelling story that clearly outlines the benefits of the requested funding for nursing school equipment and tuition assistance.

Financial Management and Compliance

  • Prepare detailed budgets and financial plans for grant proposals, ensuring alignment with funder guidelines and hospital objectives.
  • Ensure that all proposals comply with submission requirements and regulations specific to healthcare education funding.

AI and Machine Learning Utilization

  • Leverage AI-driven tools and machine learning applications to analyze successful grant proposals, extracting insights to enhance future submissions.
  • Provide support to team members in using AI tools for improving efficiency and success rates in grant writing.

Grant Submission and Management

  • Monitor deadlines and manage the grant submission process, ensuring timely and complete applications.
  • Track and report on the status of submitted grants, ensuring ongoing communication with hospitals about funding outcomes and requirements.

Qualifications



Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., communications, nonprofit management, business, or a related discipline).
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Grant Writer.
  • Proven experience in grant writing, with a successful track record of obtaining funding.
  • Notable experience using AI-driven grant writing and proposal development tools, including or comparable to GrantWriterAI, Instrumentl, Grapevine, Proposify, PandaDoc, Jasper, Writesonic.

    • Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
    • Outstanding writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Analytical and Technical Skills :
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
    • Familiarity with AI and machine learning technologies, particularly in data analysis and proposal optimization.
    • Tech-savvy, with experience using grant management software and data analysis tools.
  • Organizational and Management Skills :
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Knowledge of financial management and budgeting, ensuring realistic project budgets that comply with funder requirements.

Interpersonal and Collaborative Skills:

  • Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and relationship building.
  • Problem-solving skills and adaptability to navigate challenges in the grant writing process.
