Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as the Director of Perioperative Services. In this leadership position, you will play a critical role in managing the Perioperative Services Department and ensuring high-quality patient care. Your contributions will help us fulfill our mission of making life better for children through exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the operational performance of the Perioperative Services Department, utilizing metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive improvements.
Manage information relevant to perioperative services, providing decision support and data analytics to inform clinical resource decisions.
Collaborate with physicians and office managers to enhance operating room (OR) utilization and ensure accurate data is available for clinical and organizational decision-making.
Lead efforts to ensure excellent customer service by obtaining and communicating accurate information, especially to surgeons and other stakeholders.
Manage capital equipment and supply requests, ensuring organized oversight of equipment, instrumentation, and supplies for optimal efficiency.
Coordinate OR charge entry and reconciliation for times, supplies, and implants.
Maintain and report statistics related to tissue and implant logs, ensuring compliance and accuracy in tracking usage.
Validate data and generate reports for various stakeholders, including leadership and efficiency meetings.
Work closely with supply chain teams to manage inventory effectively and avoid overspending on supplies.
Support training initiatives for team members and represent Perioperative Services on various committees as needed.
Qualifications:
Work Experience: A minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience is required, with at least 2 years preferred in Perioperative Services.
Education: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required; advanced degrees or additional qualifications are preferred.
Licenses and Certifications: EPIC Certification and a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas are preferred.
