Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Outpatient Pediatric Clinical Dietitian for a 13 week travel assignment. As an Outpatient Pediatric Dietitian you will play a crucial role in providing specialized nutritional care to pediatric patients. You will work closely with the healthcare team to assess plan implement and monitor individualized nutrition interventions to promote optimal health and growth for pediatric patients. This position requires a deep understanding of pediatric nutrition and the ability to communicate effectively with patients families and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for pediatric patients to identify their nutritional needs and determine appropriate interventions.
  
• Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans based on the patients medical condition growth and development and dietary preferences.
  
• Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to integrate nutrition therapy into the overall treatment plan.
  
• Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and their families on topics such as proper feeding techniques specialized diets and healthy lifestyle habits.
  
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the nutrition care plan and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal outcomes.
  
• Document patient assessments interventions and progress in the electronic medical record system accurately and in a timely manner.
  
• Stay up to date with the latest research and guidelines in pediatric nutrition to provide evidencebased care.
  
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and meetings to contribute to the patients care plan and provide nutritionrelated recommendations.
  

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in nutrition or dietetics. Masters degree preferred.
  
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  
• State licensure as a dietitian or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in pediatric nutrition. Inpatient experience is strongly preferred.
  
• Knowledge of pediatric nutrition guidelines growth and development and medical nutrition therapy for common pediatric conditions.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients families and healthcare professionals.
  
• Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic healthcare environment while prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and nutrition analysis software.
  
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest advancements in pediatric nutrition.

Requirements

Bachelors degree with major studies in food and nutrition. Current state licensure/certification, if required by state. Current registration by the Commission on Dietetics Registration. One (1) year of work experience in a facility setting with clinical responsibilities or equivalent.
