SUMMARY :

This position is for an energetic individual with experience in both domestic and international shipping from all types of carriers. Primary responsibilities to include- arrangement of timely and accurate inbound and outbound shipments, review all shipments for compliance to company and customer’s routing instructions, and managing floor personnel to ensure company policies and procedures are met. Provides EDI, administrative and general support to Sales and Admin, Assembly, Graphics, Receiving and Inventory Control as needed. A strong minded, detail-oriented individual whose efforts are rooted in providing a quality product and service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages carriers including negotiating carrier contracts, freight forwarders, freight terms, and discounts for internal and external customers based on weekly shipment schedules.
• Creates and ensures best practices (i.e. accuracy, compliance, etc..) for all domestic and international shipping. Ensures we are compliant with import/export requirements.
• Provides NAFTA/USMCA/LTSD certifications for customers requesting these documents.
• Reviews customer routing, EDI, and packaging guides to confirm we can meet all requirements.
• Creates customer specific routing and packaging guidelines to meet customer logistics standards, ensuring all customer required documents are current and followed.
• Creates, reviews, and maintains all related customer specific training documents, department work instructions, training documents, and flow charts per ISO requirements on a continuous and necessary basis.
• Communicates shipping schedule needs with admin team and customers electronically and via phone, as necessary.
• Coordinates and updates Receiving Log of all incoming goods through order tracking of in-house, domestic, and foreign production in SharePoint.
• Oversees incoming receiving of both internal and external goods. Coordinates inspection requirements with quality assurance team. Directs stocking and consolidation of warehouse items.
• Audits all shipments for accuracy: confirms customer requirements met using the OEM and Aftermarket Shipping Guides; determines most economical and efficient shipping method when required.
• Prepares required shipping documents including bills of lading and commercial invoices using customer specific Routing Guides and sales orders.
• Tracks all inbound/outbound shipments daily to manage any exceptions that may come up in transit.
• Creates and directs associates on required labels and shipping documents as directed by customer requirements and/or Camisasca protocol. This includes AIAG, Odette, and any other customer specific transport documentation.
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, safety requirements, and resolves any issues or delays in all areas of responsibility.
• Keeps workspace clean, organized, and follows COVID-19 Guidelines.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE:

• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
• High school diploma or GED; at least 3-5 years of relatable experience
• Record maintenance skills
• Organized, able to multi-task and forward plan
• Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English. Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to understand and maintain company, department, quality, and safety procedures
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic
• Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel
• ISO 9001 experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift, carry and manipulate up to 50 lb. objects throughout the day
• Ability to push, pull, bend, and reach above shoulder level
• Ability to stand/walk up to 8 hours a day
• Ability to load and unload material from trucks
• Indoor/Outdoor warehouse environment
• Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard

SPECIAL REQUIRMENTS:

• Knowledge of UPS WorldShip/FedEx Ship Manager software and commercial shipping methods, procedures and related documents such as bills of ladings, commercial invoices for international etc.
• Understanding of basic EDI terms and methods
• Forklift Certified

COMPUTER SKILLS:

• Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint

JOB TYPE:

• Base Pay $80-85k
